About Our New Hampshire Funeral Home

At Davis Funeral Home, we are proud to serve New Hampshire families. Our goal is to provide a service that is always helpful, approachable, and compassionate. We provide a wide variety of services that include burial, cremation, and memorial services. Davis Funeral Home is committed to honoring your loved one’s life in the manner that they deserve. Our funeral home is unlike any other funeral homes in New Hampshire. The following elements set us apart from the competition:

High Quality Service

Davis Funeral Home is all about providing quality in everything we do. Many funeral homes boast about the care they provide, but we have consistently proven it year after year. Every year since 1995, we have been a recipient of the National Funeral Directors Association “Pursuit of Excellence” Award which recognized the top funeral homes in the United States. We also gained membership to the Selected Independent Funeral Homes which is an international organization of independent funeral homes that have accomplished some of the highest standards of service and integrity.

Community Ally

We are fully dedicated to being involved in New Hampshire communities outside of our daily business operations. We want to help these communities grow and thrive. We have made a commitment to get involved with New Hampshire charities and non-profit organizations.

Our community participation is obviously valuable because of the good will it provides, but it also helps Davis Funeral Home build relationships which is vital in the funeral home industry. Funeral services are a rather personal service, and therefore families choose funeral homes they trust the most. By building relationships prior to needing our services, families know they can trust us and know we will care for their loved one with the upmost compassion.

Rich History

Davis Funeral Home first opened its doors in 1842. This makes Davis the oldest funeral home in Hillsborough County, the second oldest in New Hampshire, and one of the oldest funeral homes in the entire United States. This long standing operation of continued success demonstrates to families that they are receiving services that are reliable and dependable. There are no surprises when you choose Davis Funeral Home. We have always been transparent about what we offer and we have always been consistent with executing on these offerings. Oftentimes we go above the expectations of the families we serve. Each generation of our owners have all been generous and simply want to help people at a time of deep despair.

We believe our business has been sustainable and successful for so long because we focus on helping families as opposed to looking at making an extra dollar. Please take the time to read our full story and history.

Our years of success has also been due to our ability to innovate. We want to ensure our services stay up to date, and that we have new offerings that meet modern demands. Our staff continually puts in the time to educate themselves by attending seminars and conferences.

One of our newest offerings is the creation of a Book of Memories which is an online website dedicated to honoring your loved one. Visitors can write condolences, share memorable stories, upload photos, and leave donations on behalf of the deceased. Families can post their loved one’s obituary and notify guests of when and where the funeral service will take place.

Another new offering, we have created is A Helping Hand – a crowdfunding platform that helps families pay for funeral expenses. We know many families will struggle to cover funeral expenses but we hate to see families not being able to honor their loved one in the way they deserve. We have taken the growing concept of crowdfunding and brought it to the funeral home industry. Instead of friends sending flowers, this platform asks for donation towards the funeral costs.

Continual Support & Compassion

From the minute you call us, we are by your side until well after the funeral has ended. We are your resource for anything you need. Our staff goes beyond just providing funeral services. We provide the support and compassion families need to get through the pain of loss. Do not be surprised if we get in touch well after the funeral just to check to see how you are doing. We have the appropriate grief programs in place to help you and can point you in the direction of counseling services.
