Stay Up to Date with Funeral Trends

funeral options funeral trends cremation

The needs and expectations of our families are changing and we've responded with funeral options tailored to fit the latest funeral trends.

Below we have outlined some of the biggest trends we are seeing in the funeral industry.

Crowdfunding to Help Cover Funeral Costs

Funeral crowdfunding has become a popular way for many families to cover the cost of a service. Through a partnership with GoFundMe, A Helping Hand™ offers families the opportunity to create a crowdfunding campaign to help cover funeral expenses and accept contributions from loved ones around the world.

Ask us about this directly so we can help you setup your own campaign with “A Helping Hand”.

Green Burials

As global warming continues to become a more prevalent issue, families are now looking for environmentally friendly ways to care for the deceased. A green burial is a full body internment in the ground that does not inhibit decomposition. Essentially, the deceased is buried in the ground in either a wooden coffin made of pine or it is wrapped in a decomposable shroud. This method of disposition is not only environmentally friendly; it is also more cost effective.

Cremation Services

The rise of cremation can be attributed to many different things. One of the biggest draws for families is the more affordable cost. Typically, the cost of cremation is far less than a traditional burial because the extra expenses like a casket, vault, and tombstone are not needed.

Celebration of Life

A celebration of life allows your family the freedom and creativity to plan a memorial event focused on celebrating your loved one’s life rather than mourning their loss. Unlike a traditional funeral that is based on certain religious and spiritual customs, no two celebrations of life will be the same. This is because celebrations of life reflect each individuals personality.

Thinking about Your Funeral Options

The arrangements you make will be influenced by the lifestyle of your deceased family member; the time of year, your budget, and the number of people in attendance. But you don't have to think about it all on your own; we're here to help. That's what we do; it's our passion to help families celebrate the life of their loved one. Just reach out to us; let us know what you'd like, and we'll tell you how we can assist you.
