On February 28th, 2019, Beverly Ann (Johnson) Christensen entered her heavenly rest and met her Savior face to face.
Born January 13th, 1938 in Waltham, Massachusetts to Robert and Anna (Addesa) Johnson, Beverly grew up in Waltham and Ashland, Massachusetts. She graduated from Ashland High School in 1956 and the Academie Moderne Boston in 1957.
Beverly married the love of her life Merlyn “Chris” Christensen of Sioux Falls, South Dakota on September 7th, 1958. As wife of a United States Air Force career service-member of 22 years, she kept home for their family in California, New Mexico, Illinois, and Massachusetts. Bev and Chris were blessed with two children together; Mark Edward and Susan Marie before eventually settling in Hudson, New Hampshire in 1977. Beverly was an accomplished artist, leaving many paintings for her family to treasure. She loved music, cardinals, and visiting the coast of New England for the scenery and her enjoyment of seafood and fried dough.
The later years found Bev more home-bound as multiple sclerosis weakened her physical body, but her spirit never diminished as could be testified by many who visited her at her bedside and witnessed the joy, peace, and all sufficient grace of her Lord and Savior.
Beverly is survived by her loving husband and full-time caregiver, Chris Christensen, a sister Carol and her husband Jim Ellsworth, her two grateful children Mark, and his wife Holly (Geisinger) and Susan and her husband Steve D'Angelo, two grand-daughters Sarah Wilcox and her husband Pastor Kyle, and Ashley Levesque and her husband Aaron, as well as three great grand-children; Ethan, Autumn, and Karson Wilcox.
SERVICES: A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 9th at the Merrimack Valley Baptist Church chapel, 517 Boston Post Road, Merrimack, NH at 10:30a.m. with a half-hour of time of greeting preceding the service.
A private burial service will be held at the New Hampshire Veteran's Cemetery in Boscawen, New Hampshire.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Home, Health, and Hospice of Merrimack, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack New Hampshire.

Our deepest condolences to the family. When our loved ones fall asleep in death, words alone cannot ease the pain of our loss. Our loving God Jehovah understands how we feel and he comforts us by means of his word the Bible. Psalm 147:3 reads He (God) heals the brokenhearted; He binds up their wounds. We can also find comfort from Jesus words at John 5:28-29 “The hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out”. May these scriptures bring comfort and calmness of heart to you during the difficult days ahead.
