William Henry LaMontagne 74, formerly of Tewksbury, MA, passed away at Courville at Manchester, NH on January 15, 2019. Born February 12, 1944 in East Hartford, CT, Bill was the son of the late Henry A. and the late Mary F. (Sheehan) LaMontagne. He was a Roslindale (MA) HS and Boston College graduate.

Upon graduation from B C, he enlisted in the US Army and served his country with honor as an officer in Viet Nam and was a Bronze Star recipient. Bill was always available to help people in need and looked out for the underdog.
He is survived by his son William Jr. and grandson Chase of FL. Brother Al (Kathy) of Nashua, NH; two nieces, Andrea (David) Tencza of Nashua, NH and Diana (Jeffrey) Vachon of Bedford, NH. Great nephews and great nieces: Luke and Maeve Tencza and Joanna and Ryan Vachon. Also survived by: Jessica, Abe, Abigail and James Hartman of Brookline, NH and Stephen Schuler of FL. Several cousins and longtime friends Joanne and Edward Fallon and Bob Keller of MA.
Bill’s family wishes to extend our gratitude to the entire staffs and management of Aynsley Place in Nashua and Courville at Manchester for Bill’s care and wellbeing for the past several years. They treated Bill with dignity, patience and respect. He stated many times that he was lucky to be living at those residences.
