James Murphy Green, 70 of York Maine and formerly of Nashua, NH died Wednesday December 12, 2018 at York General Hospital, York, ME.

Born February 22, 1948 in Paris, TX he was the son of the late Phillip and Maxine (Carter) Green.
Prior to retirement, James led a long and successful career in the car business, primarily as a sales manager at Peters Auto Center in Nashua.
James was a sports enthusiast and loved watching football, basketball, and baseball. Golf was one of his fondest pastimes, and he said that his golfing “got better after retirement.” He enjoyed a good game of poker, or blackjack, and was always up for a friendly wager. He loved playing pinball with his son and grandchildren, as well as taking them to the beaches in Maine. James had a warm and outgoing personality, and everyone who knew him has at least one great “Jim Green” story to tell. His caring and generous nature gave him a wide circle of friends; he will be deeply missed, and remembered fondly by many.
Survivors include James’ longtime companion, Susan Ferguson, of York, ME; one son, Adam Green and his wife, Lorien, of Nashua; one daughter, Taylor Green, of Brooklyn, NY; two grandchildren, Madeline and Colin, of Nashua; two brothers, Alex Green, of Iowa and Biff Green, of Wichita, KS.
