Obituary

Clifford Barber, beloved husband, father and grandfather, of Amherst, New Hampshire and Eastham, Massachusetts, passed away on December 10, 2018. He was 74.

Clifford was born in Greenwich, Connecticut to Edwin and Helen (Muzoleski) Barber who predeceased him. Clifford attended Greenwich High School and graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. He remained an active alumnus through his generosity to the UConn Fund.

A true conversationalist, he had a long and successful career in sales, notably with Steelcase, Inc., including several years as Director of International Sales. This phase of his career fulfilled his sense of adventure and curiosity to explore new places and experience different cultures, travelling extensively throughout Europe and the Middle East.

He is survived by his wife, Judith (Bridge); the love of his life whom he met in high school and married over 52 years ago. He is also survived by his son Edwin; daughter and son-in-law Julianna and Michael Eckmann; daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca Barber and Jonathan McMenamin-Balano; and three grandchildren Jamie Barber, Meghan Eckmann and Ryan Barber.

Clifford enjoyed woodworking and was often found tinkering in his workshop, having crafted and built his own 16-foot wooden skiff. He especially enjoyed the Cape Cod National Seashore and boating on Cape Cod Bay. Duck hunting, fishing and nautical histories were also among his favorite pastimes. Most of all, he enjoyed his family and time spent together.

Services: Visitation is Thursday, December 13, 2018 from 4-8 p.m. at the Davis Funeral Home, 1 Lock Street, Nashua, NH. The memorial service will be held on Friday, December 14, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Church of the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, 214 Main Street, Nashua, NH. In lieu of flowers, the family requests Memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Clifford, please visit the Alzheimer’s Association at https://www.alz.org/.

To Judy and family. We are very sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in these difficult times knowing that you have each other. It was nice knowing Cliff - albeit for a short time. His interest in others and his worldly wit is how we will remember him. May he Rest In Peace. Lots of love The Barnett family. X
